Appointments available face to face or via Zoom video or telephone
You may like to have telephone counselling as this enables you to be in your own safe, comfortable environment.
Some people prefer not to have someone looking at them when talking about things they may feel uncomfortable or ashamed talking about.
This is also preferable to video calls by those who do not want to show their surroundings.

You may like to have telephone counselling as this enables you to be in your own safe, comfortable environment.
Some people prefer not to have someone looking at them when talking about things they may feel uncomfortable or ashamed talking about.
This is also preferable to video calls by those who do not want to show their surroundings.
It is convenient if time is limited as there is no equipment to set up and no travel time.
You may choose counselling via Zoom video calls as it allows you to choose where you are.
It enables you to have visual contact without the need to travel.
Zoom can be downloaded onto your phone, tablet or laptop.
You will be sent a secure link to your session.
Face to face counselling takes place in my therapy studio.
This may enable you to have time and space that is just for you, without interruptions that it may not be possible to achieve elsewhere.
Some people find the journey to and from therapy gives additional time to process what has been discussed and helps the transition back to everyday life.
These are one to one sessions for 50 minutes. We usually meet weekly but frequency can be agreed to meet your individual circumstances.
This is your time for you to choose what you would like to discuss in each session and how many sessions you would like. I work with you at your pace to understand your unique experiences and help you process and make sense of your responses. I do not tell you what to do but support and encourage you to gain autonomy, recognise choice and identify possible changes you may feel able to make.
This can be any type of relationships e.g. marriage, partners, siblings, parental (as long as both clients are over 18), friendships, step-families or work colleagues.
Communication can be difficult in relationships. I offer a safe, neutral environment to enable you each to speak and be heard. This provides the opportunity to notice where misunderstandings, defensiveness or patterns of behaviour may be having a negative impact on the relationship and impeding communication and understanding. I do not judge or take sides but can offer observations and an additional perspective. I value each of your unique experiences and treat each of you with respect.
Couples counselling is most effective face to face but can also be undertaken by Zoom video if preferred. Initially it it helpful to meet weekly but then the time between sessions can be extended to allow the opportunity see whether any changes are effective and highlight areas still left to work on.
Group therapy is most effective delivered face to face. I can help facilitate discussions with groups of up to four people where communication has become difficult. This may be between families, friends or colleagues. The group collectively agree the focus of therapy and an agenda for each session. I ensure that everyone who wants to gets the opportunity to speak and be heard.
